Helpful Hints while Choosing a Wedding Photographer

These tips are a service to our visitors who may be contemplating the purchase of wedding photography.

  • Be comfortable with the personal interaction and photographic style of the photographer that you select for this most important occasion. This is the single most important part of choosing any wedding photographer; any discomfort you might have with a particular photographer comes through in the images taken.

Leslie's previous clients give her high marks for both her personal interaction and photographic style -- "her delight in photographing the wedding is contagious".

  • Carefully review the work of every photographer that you are considering, and schedule a private meeting with each one, in order to examine their work and get to know them in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

  • Ask who will be doing your photography on the day of your wedding. Many larger studios have multiple photographers working for them, and on the day of your wedding send a photographer that you haven't met before. They may also leave an assistant to "finish up", while the more experienced photographer leaves to cover another wedding.

Leslie does all of our wedding photography, and will personally be there for the entire duration of your coverage.

  • Ask who took the images presented to you in sample albums and brochures.

Leslie is proud to present only her own images in her brochures and sample albums.

  • Is Black & White photography available? Is there any extra charge for this service?

We have no additional charge for black and white photography.

  • Ask what is and is not included in the price. Do you keep the proofs at no additional charge?

All of our packages include a proof album containing all of your proofs, with each print professionally printed to ensure the best possible quality.

  • Ask when the proofs will be delivered.

Leslie's proofs are typically delivered in four to five weeks.

  • Ask if the photographer will have a complete set of backup equipment with them. Remember, there are no second chances to photograph your day!

We always have at least two sets of equipment with us.
